Eduard Kovynev

Business & Entrepreneurship

Eduard Kovynev is an accounting and finance expert in Canton, GA, who has been involved in the field for nearly ten years. He utilizes and advances his knowledge in the industry by seeking out positions that allow him to build upon his skills in a business environment. Eduard’s personal philosophy is to question everything—everyone ends up where they are in life due to the decisions they make throughout their lives, and questioning everything will lead people where they’re meant to be while obtaining new knowledge.

In his most recent position, Eduard Kovynev was an accountant with Innovative Chemical Technologies. He handled customer invoicing, collections, credit card processing, past due statements, and so on while preparing weekly cash reports, bank reconciliations, and new customer set-up. Eduard was also a backup for payroll processing, accounts payable, and commission reports. Additionally, he standardized financial statements in Excel, which eliminated the need for manual typing.

Prior to Innovative Chemical Technologies, Eduard Kovynev worked at Vallen Distribution from 2014 to 2020. He started there as an Accounts Payable Specialist, matching and processing vendor invoices for payment while handling all vendor inquiries and issues. He issued non-conformances, researched payment history, and worked with the field daily in a high-paced environment that had monthly quotas he had to meet. Eduard was then promoted to Business Analyst, where he validated that average costs, vendor invoice costs, and ship order costs were all correct. He assisted in the field with credit and rebills, returns, and adjustments; he also accounted for rebates, quantity discounts, special pricing agreements, and more. Additionally, Eduard reconciled the book-to-shelf inventory.

His final position with Vallen Distribution was as an Inventory Accountant. In this position, Eduard Kovynev managed, tracked, and had financial oversight of the entire accounting process for rebates and marketing accounts. He posted journal vouchers, performed trend analysis, reconciliations, and other month-end duties while reporting to senior management with financial recommendations on a monthly basis. Eduard identified inefficiencies and redundancies while working with IT to automate repetitive manual tasks and handled several special projects: vendor margin analysis, month-end automation, centralizing processes, and so on. He had daily correspondences with CMO, CFO, and Product Management and assisted in KPMG audit requests.

Eduard Kovynev enjoys puzzles, board games, card games, hiking in the Rockies, kayaking, and camping in his spare time. He has played the piano for over ten years and enjoys playing it in his spare time as well. Eduard is interested in philosophy, religious studies, ancient Egyptian and Greek life, musical composers, economic trends, DIY projects, and much more. He is a well-rounded individual who finds joy in a wide variety of topics. From an early age, he knew that he enjoyed family as well—Eduard would attend any family gathering or event. As part of a family of nine, Eduard was busy almost every weekend. He believes that family will have your back through thick and thin; it is extremely important to Eduard.

Ultimately, Eduard Kovynev is dedicated to both his personal and professional lives, dedicating himself to each interest of his wholeheartedly. He wants to give his all in every aspect of his life because, at the end of the day, the decisions he makes now will reflect on him in the future.
